The University of Auckland

The University of Auckland is New Zealand’s largest and top-rated university*, and the country’s pre-eminent research-led institution.

Established in 1883 as a constituent college of the University of New Zealand, the university is now made up of eight faculties and one school on five campuses, and has more than 38,000 students including over 10,000 engaged in postgraduate studies.

The University of Auckland has a strong international focus with over 4,000 international students from 93 countries, and is the only New Zealand member of Universitas 21 and the Association of Pacific Rim Universities – international consortia of research-led universities
