Accommodation

Auckland Australs delegates will be hosted in the SkyCity hotel.
Located in the middle of Auckland’s CBD, this four star hotel is a short walk to the University campus, and sits beneath the iconic Sky Tower – the tallest building in the southern hemisphere. All delegates will be hosted in either double, twin or triple share rooms with all the usual amenities including flat screen TV, in room safe and bath/shower.

Australs attendees will have full access to the hotel’s heated rooftop swimming pool, gym, sauna, and a choice of 18 restaurants and bars within the SkyCity entertainment complex, so you’ll never run out of options for things to do (when not debating, of course).

Check in

When you arrive at SkyCity, proceed through to the Australs registration area (located in the main lobby) and we will handle your registration and check in process.

Breakfast

Delegates will be provided with a ‘breakfast pack’ upon arrival. This will contain enough cereal and other goodies to last you for the week. If you’d prefer to dine in style each morning, watch out for some hotel breakfast discount vouchers in your welcome packs. These will give you a special rate for breakfast in one of SkyCity’s many restaurants.

Newspapers

Each hotel room will be provided with a complementary copy of the New Zealand Herald every morning to keep you to date with the latest national, international, business and sports news.

Internet access

SkyCity is arranging a special discount internet rate for delegates. The lobby of the hotel has wireless internet while the hotel rooms have one ethernet cable. Look in your welcome packs for further information about internet.
